Hi there. My name is Tanya. I did Atkins years ago and was successful. I lost around 25 pounds at that time. I have four children. My baby is 18 months and still was carrying 25 lbs. In January I decided to give atkins a try once again. My hubby and I are doing it together. It has been 7 weeks today and he has lost 23 lbs and I have lost 14 lbs. We are still on induction. I want to make low carb a permenant part of our lives, not something that I move on from when the weight is lost. Food ideas and support would be awesome.

Re: I'm new but not to Atkins
Welcome to ADBB!
The best way to make Atkins a lifestyle change is to do all the phases ... my recommendation would be to move to OWL.
As far as food ideas:

>>ts ok to stay on induction for long than 14 days isn't it?>>
Yes.
However, you should be on pre-maintenance with 5-10 pounds to lose.
And OWL comes before PM. Most of your weight should be lost should be on OWL.
Are you reading the book, Dr. Atkins, New Diet Revolution (2002)?J.

Re: I'm new but not to Atkins
Yes I have read the book and look at it for referances. What my concern is that I only have 11 lbs left to lose. I lose at a rate between a pound or two a week. I'm thinking if I up my carbs per day, I won't lose weight. This weigh in.. which was today, I actually stayed the same

That's why you should be on OWL.

The 2nd phase of Atkins is called Ongoing Weight Loss for a reason. It's not called "You won't lose any more weight".
>>I actually stayed the same>>
You won't lose every day, ever week, or even every month.
Your body may be telling you to move up to OWL.
Do you really think an extra 5 net carbs of Induction vegetables is going to hurt?
And ... you don't get to Maintenance without OWL.J.
