  • Hello Low Carb Lovers!

    Hi im Megan and my husband and i just started induction almost two weeks ago. This is his first time on atkins but i've been more of an abuser just using is to lose 15lb here or there. Now I want to get serious and posibly get below 145lb since i don't know when. My husband on the other hand is 360lb and has lost 7lb so far. I don't know if i need to get wheat bran for our salads or what but all weight loss is at a standstill. We want to continue induction for a while but how do i keep my husband motivated without much results? I just feel like we need a big kick start and of of course your support. Thanks and looking forward to meetin ya!!

    Can you post a sample of what he eats each day? Is he drinking enough water and exercising?

      While that may be a choice for him, it's not really the best choice for you.

      Induction may not be your husband's best choice either ... most of one's weight is lost on OWL ... Induction gets your body ready to do the losing!

        find recipes for menus he likes, like on Linda's site, her 4 and 5 star recipes are to died for. Moving up to OWL sometimes will kick in the weight loss and the first rung is just adding more veggies and 5 more carbs so it's not a huge step.

            Good luck to you both - read the book, drink plenty of pure water (64 ounces MINIMUM daily), exercise and take a non-iron vitamin daily.
