Hey everyone, my names Lucy and i'm currently restarting my induction

I lost a stone and a half for my holiday to spain in october, but i got caught up in the whole kebab, chips and vodka culture (I'm an 19 year old student, i guess its expected). Then at christmas i pretty much pigged out on boxes of celebrations, which was great and i just ignored the scales in the bathroom each time, until my jeans wouldn't fit anymore

I really enjoyed this diet last time and never felt hungry, ALTHOUGH, i did get some weird red spots/rashes on my body? I visited my GP who gave me some skin cream and it cleared up straight away, yet last night i found two again - great, wonderful. I really broke out when i ate muscles on my last induction so i steer clear of them now, and olives, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

I am a little worried though, i had two big table spoons of heinz mayonaisse with tuna and pepper earlier today, as i forgot to get anything out the freezer will this ruin my sixth day of induction?

Views of sugar free jelly? I have all the atkins books from my family, reading through them at the moment, but i had sugar free jelly last time, and although i DID lose alot of weight, i seem to be losing alot more without it - does it stall weight loss? I've also kicked the diet coke aswell and i'm just drinking bottles upon bottles of water.

Sorry for all the questions! I think i'm doing okay so far though, my main problem is being addicted sugar, and i'm using all the willpower possible to go from 3 chocolate bars (terrible, terrible) to none!

    Welcome back to Atkins, lucya!

You are doing fine and the mayonaise is allowed on Induction. The sugar free jelly should be avoided however, for the time being. Nothing on the diet will cause a rash unless you have allergies, which you should already know about. Maybe you should see your doctor about them because if they are food related, you should be told.

I'm glad to hear that you are reading the books, (we use only the 2002 edition here), and are drinking lots of water.

Within a few days of induction the chocolate urges should go away....it's your brain messing with you ... the best thing to do is steer clear of sweets altogether.

By lots of bottles of water I hope you are drinking a minimum of 64 ounces and it's pure water not something like Gatorade or crystal lite.

      Good luck --

        Re: hello hello

        Thanks for the advice

Yep, just pure bottled water. I went a little crazy on the pork scratchings yesterday, and seemed have gained a pound but i guess thats probably just water retention.

Chocolate is out of my system, finally!

The pound you gained is water, not fat, so don't let it derail you because you are doing fine!

In place of pork scratchings you can use Deluxe Deli Cheese slices - cut the slice into small squares and microwave them 60 seconds on a piece of parchment paper. They taste like Cheese Nip crackers and I don't have the water retention problems that pork rinds do...and they taste better!

Make sure they are not flavored. The flavored kind often have sugar.

                What kind of "muscles"?
