Joined the site a couple of weeks back, just got over induction and thought I'd introduce myself. First time on Atkins,and hopefully will follow through. Read the book and am going through the site (It's huge!!
).
Having a hard time of it because most of the allowed vegetables are ones I haven't even heard of, let alone trying to find them here in the UAE (Google is my best friend!!) . Even if you do find them, they are soooo expensive because they have to be shipped or airfreighted here. Am someone whose entire diet used to revolve around rice,wheat,pulses,milk and a completely different palate. Also have a sugar addiction that I've been battling since the beginning of the year.
Am now in week 3, have lost about 4 kgs, weigh myself once a week, and beginning to feel like myself again ( had terrible mood swings last two weeks - DH was tiptoeing around me, poor thing!!). Will be doing an extended induction as have quite a bit to lose and need to retrain myself.
