  • Hello!!

    I am starting Adkin's on Sunday (February 21, 2010) - I am on this board to gather as much information as possible, before I get started. I am excited and scared. I really want to succeed. I have read the 40 excellent tips, and have printed out the food list. I will be taking my measurements and photo Sunday morning. I am excited to start this journey. I have no support at home so I will be looking to anyone here that will help for encouragement and advice. Thank you for reading - wish me luck!

    Welcome to the board, 2f2f!

    You should get the 2002 edition of the book also because it is the only complete explanation of the diet.

    Be sure to keep us posted on how you're doing once you get started because we are here to help in any way we can. Good luck!

        There's nothing to be scared of - it's only food and you can prepare it to taste so wonderfully you'll wonder why you didn't start before! Make sure you drink enough pure water -- 64 ounces is the minimum daily.

        Since you have a few days before you start, plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.
