    Hello!
    I'm 22 years old.
    Hope I will have nicer pic for a month. Now I have 165 pounds, and hope to be about 130 in a three months. Tommorrow is my first day of Atkins. I'm still not sure do I have good informations about this diet, but I orded my book and hope to get it very soon.

    I hope that this diet will help me. I'm very serous with diet this time. For a last, I don't know, about 7 years, I'm trying to do something with my body, but I didn't have some discipline. Also, I would exercise, or maybe do some jogging...

    I know I need to be strong this time, and not to give up. Hope this forum and my blog are going to be helpful.
    Also, I don't speak with my friends or family about my food problems, but I think it's really serious. It's like drug, you know. I'm just addicted to it. I eat million times in one day, when I'm hungry, when I'm not, when I'm sad or bored. If I'm alone, you can guess... I eat. When everybody sleep I go in the kitchen and grab some food. And I'm happy in that moment, but moments after... I feel so sad, like I'm dissapoined in myself.

    I just need to be focused on my diet. And think that this is new period in my life of more healthier me. rinking_

    welcome to ADBB and to atkins.

    If you haven't read your book yet you should read the induction stickies about the legal foods and the way we eat.

    Atkins is a high fat moderate protein and low carb way of eating so make friends with the fats if you are of a low fat mind set.

    Exercise is mandatory so get out your running shoes

    because you are an overeater you will be scared on the frist couple of days cause your body doesn't understand you are on purpose using up your glycogen reserves and making it open the fat reserves for fuel so it will be screaming at you often to eat eat and eat. And eat eat eat is exactly what you should do any time you feel hungry even if you just ate and are consuming 4000 cals on those days. Once your blood sugar stablizes and your body switches to being a primary fats for fuel system you will get appetite suppression and then you can learn just how little food it will take to satisfy your hunger cause that is what we do satisfy our hunger each time we eat. We can eat as often as hunger calls so we don't need to tank up each time and fill our bellies to the brusting point.

    Hang in there and see how you feel at the end of week one.

    Oh and if you haven't done so measure your body cause you will be shedding body fat and adding some lean body mass and some times those darn scales lie about our body fat changes.
