starting out today sunday, trying to lose 8 pounds. Need more energy , less sugar lows, better chol readings

. I am 37 and weight 138 and really should be 126-130 ideally so my doc put me on cholestrol meds and told me to drop the weight and cut the carbs. I exercise 3-4x a week cardio but if I dont manage my eating i dont really lose any. And i do love fattening, fried food LOL....am learning to enjoy or at least swallow lol veggies/salad. I love desert so its going to be tuff for the induction but i can always have a diet coke (which i dont really drink much of) if i need a sweet craving. I drink tons of water about a gallon a day and have to stay away from heart burn causing food like bacon or spicy sausage.
