  • New to board

Hi I am new to this board. I recently had a baby and now I am done nursing and I am trying to take some weight off. I am luckier to be one the people out there who is actually smaller now than I was before I had my baby, but I would like to lose about another 40 lbs. I appreciate all tips and support!

Hey there! Welcome! I'm still thrilled that this sites exists. It's so nice to speak with people who have same problems like you! You will see...

I want to lose about 40 ibs also . I'm fat since ever, and my sister-she's younger, born baby 12 months ago and she is thin... unbeliveble thin

So... take care, and put your pics, if u didn't... it's really great to see how your body is changing .

      Good luck!

        Re: New to board

        Welcome!

A few tips to help get you started: plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html. Make sure you're eating the recommended amount of vegetables (not just lettuce -- choose a variety of vegetables)

The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html, eating a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs).

Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. If you need anything we try to help each other here as much as possible.
