  • New to these forums, back on Atkins!

    Hi everyone!

I was successful on Atkins several years ago, but stopped it due to struggling with infertility and pregnancy loss. I finally got pregnant (yay!) and had my baby in 2008. My son is now 18 months old and I am heavier than I have ever been. (boo!)

I am currently on day 5 and have seen about 3(ish) pounds disappear thus far. I had been feeling exhausted, stressed, angry and generally unhealthy and was (am) ready for a lifestyle change! I am seeing some energy come back already!

I am really looking forward to the endless possibilities of the Atkins approach and I am thrilled I found these forums!!

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi Emmy, Wlecome to ADBB. Hang in there Emmy. The third day is usually the worst. By Day Five you should be feeling much better, in fact, better than you have in a long time. Right now you are in the throes of sugar withdrawl. It will pass soon.

Welcome -- Jill is right...in a couple more days you'll look back and be so happy you've gone through this. Drink more water and have a few veggies to help get through it.

          Good luck!!
