  • Hey there!!!!

    My name is Daniele and I'm 24, I started at the Atkins diet shortly after I came back to Brazil after spending one year and a half in the US.

    I was chubby (about 180 lbs) before going but I gain a lot of weight while there.

    I started my diet on September 2nd. I lost 43 pounds till December, my doctor gave me Holidays off and I fell off the wagon, I gained 8 pounds back but now i'm back on track.

    I came here to support and to find people with whom I can relate to.

    It's been two months since Christmas. Is that how long your doctor gave you off?

    How did taking the holidays work out for you, all in all?

      I know the doctor part sounds really off, but yeah, he gave me the holidays off, the problem is I'm a compulsive eater once I did eat the things I shouldn't I couldn't stop until now, 2 months later (he gave me 2 days and I took 2 months).

      I'm not gonna even start on my self-control issueson thatone, that's part of why I joined in here, I feel like here people can actually relate to wanting to lose weight, fall off the wagon and all that jazz.

        Hi Dani, I have the same problem over the holidays. Once you get off track you keep finding reasons not to be ON track. Mine was stress and not holiday foods but the result was the same. Glad you are back on track now.

          I know what you mean I started to find all kinds of reasons to keep on eating, stress, work, even a old made me find excuses.

            Many of us have had trouble from time to time -- good for you getting back on track and looking for support! That's what we're here for - hopefully you'll find many supportive people here.
