Re: windrush39
Hey windrush, I'm new too. 5th day of induction, just starting to get used to it today. With some decent exercise and sticking to our plan, I know we can do it. We'll be looking back at ourselves when we started and say "I'm so glad I changed my life"!!!!
I haven't fully read the book yet because I don't have it yet... so I'm still a tad bit unsure of myself. I know I'm doing a pretty decent job of getting my 20 carbs in, but I'm so used to low fat eating, I kinda second guess what I'm doing. Thousands of people can't be wrong tho, right?
Stick to it windrush, I know I am going to

Re: windrush39
Welcome!
Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.
The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list just staying under 20 carbs a day isn't the correct way to follow Atkins. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html Eat a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs).
Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. If you need anything we try to help each other here as much as possible.

>>i didnt now i could eat sausages or burgers on induction? i>>
A lot of sausages in England don't have Induction friendly ingredients. Rusk is not Induction friendly.
>>how big is a cup?is it a teacup size>>
A "cup" is a measurement ... generally of volume.
Do you have clear glass "cups" with red lines? That's a measuring cup.
