    Well,
    My Title says it all. Every crazy diet that you have or havn't heard of IVE DONE IT. The only thing I havn't tried is Atkins/Low Carb. And I must say, compared to the last diet I was on -ATKINS SOUNDS LIKE PURE HEAVEN- ^_^

    I'm 20 years old, 5'5", 180ish lbs O_O. I have been overweight since birth and been packing it on ever since lol. So I guess I'm just a naturally FAT person.

    ULTIMATE GOAL IS 135.

    On my last diet I got down to 165 but binged like crazy and jumped back up to 180 in a few weeks. TERRIBLE I KNOW.

    But I'm not giving up just yet. It really feels like I've spent basically my whole life just trying to lose weight, giving up, binging, starving, and that whole cycle over again. It's pretty vicious and I hate to admit I've probably worn my body out from it. I've recently come to terms with things and I will finally say..I HAVE A MAJOR EATING/FOOD Problem.

    Lately I've come to realize that our eating issues are really an addiction! We're no better than the people who are on illegal drugs. The only difference is food is legal. So maybe there should be a law against eating too much LOL.

    Yesterday I hit the Wal-Marty and basically got everything I need to do this diet. Chicken, Tuna, Cheese, Eggs, Jello, Black Olives, Green Olives, Cream Cheese, Sugar Free Mayo, Sugar Free Italian Dressing, etc.

    The Doritos in the back aren't mine LOL.



    I also got steam-able bags of sweet peas, spinach, celery, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, etc.

    I'm starting tomorrow! YAY! OMG Excited!

    What are the ingredients in the sugar free Italian dressing?

    I hope the jello was sugar free ... and you don't need it at all ... it's a junk food.

    Are you reading the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002)? It's vital for an understanding of what's involved in this lifetime eating plan!

      Welcome to the board!

      You sound like me in your attempts to lose weight and I'm sure you will find Atkins is nothing at all like those other diets. This is a plan you can actually live with long term. Just be patient and work the plan and you will make it while you're still young, unlike me. Keep us posted!

          Hi MissLadyFee, Just wanna tell u that...I actually have tried out numorous diets b4 and none of that seems to last for long (they did work but I gain the pounds back anyway lol)... Then I figure out it's not about the calorie or the type of food we eat...because although fruits and veggie is extremely low cal but they can't help because the key to lose weight and keep it off is to deal with your appetite and hunger...! So I think atkins is the best way for me and for those who struggle with food craving and the endless cycle of starving & binge eating. Anyway, I wish u all the best with your weight loss and hope you'll enjoy every sec of ur life... ^^

              Welcome!

              Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.

              The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html, eating a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs).

              Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. If you need anything we try to help each other here as much as possible.

                That is exactly how I felt! Here's a bit of advice...
                Since this is your first time low carbing, STICK TO IT!!! The first time I did induction, I lost an incredible amount of weight. Since then I have fallen off the wagon like a hundred times, and every time I start induction, I only lose maybe one pound. So, stick to the rules, AND IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

                I also must say, FOOD IS A DRUG!! I never thought I could live without sweets. 10 days ago I restarted induction, and I have lost all cravings and I feel AMAZING!

                ATKINS WORKS IF YOU WORK IT!
