  • My Introduction! =]

    Hey everyone! My name is Reena, I am 22 years old, 5'6, and 185 pounds. I am a nursing student. I have been over weight for a long time now, and in high school I ran track and I was very much in great shape. After I started college, it all went downhill from there. I am very excited to be on this weight loss journey. I am not content with myself, I am very insecure. I haven't had a boyfriend in a long time, even though men approach me, I just don't feel pretty enough, and I always reject them. I hate seeing people I went to high school with, because I know I gained a significant amount of weight since then. I am embarassed and shy to go out in public. I take horrible pictures and I am very insecure around my friends and family. I am ready to love my life, and enjoy it to the fullest. I want to lose approximately 50 pounds. I want to look good by summer. I am going to try my best to stay strong, and have the will power I need to gain my life back again! Thanks for all the inspiring stories!

      Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html.

      The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html, eating a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs).

      Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. If you need anything we try to help each other here as much as possible.
