    Hi there,

    This is the best diet I've ever been on. It worked great 7 years ago, but having slower results this time around. Starting week 4 now and lost about 4 lbs so far. All that the first week though. Have gotten off just a bit with drinking and a few edible carbs, but I exercise like crazy too! When I drink, it is vodka/diet coke or rum and diet. Sometimes wine.

    You do not have a lot to lose so it will likely be slower. And seven years are alot of things. Alcohol is something Atkins suggest not having in induction.

      Thanks. I know alcohol is a no no, but it's very hard to resist when I go out with my friends or a date. I'm fine at home, but I go out at least 2 to 3 times a week. Seems like every time I decide to diet some event comes up.

        Welcome to ADBB. You need to set your own priorities but by having the alcohol, you are more likely to indulge in a few carbs here and there and before long you are way off track. Something to consider.

          Order club soda, iced tea.

          You can still have a good time.

          Then make Atkins a life style.

          Things will be better if you're in control rather than outside events ... or what you think other people expect of you.
