    Re: 140kgs

Welcome to our board. Hope it works well for you. 99 seems like a great goal. So how will it be like to be low carbing in Egypt? Lots of fresh produce and meat/fish available?

      Re: 140kgs

hey liv. will do with the email address.
'nyhow, thank you for the encouragement.

well although i have been in for three days, i havent researched very thoroughly yet .
but what is happening so far is fried eggs and some cheese in the morning,

conserved tuna for lunch with some raw veggies (tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, celery)

beef steak/fried chicken/grilled chicken/ and some salads are my current options for dinner.
not really sure about the fried parts. is fried chicken acceptable?

using extra virgin olive oil and a dash of lemon to season my raw veggies. getting some sautéed veggies when available.

not sure about what to have as snacks yet. thinking about throwing the cheese and olives as snacks, as i have not included them in any meal yet. somewhere it says some kind of crackers. gotta go shop in some remote supermarket to find imported products in quantities to provide me with choice.

regarding the tuna, the can says "in non gmo treated vegetable oil and brine". jah knows what that means or if that is kool to have!

1 cup of coffee in the morning (without one ill be brain damaged for 5 hours, which my boss wouldnt like much)

1 to 2 diet colas per day. havent really found what is better. diet cola or cola zero or pepsi max?

and since am at work, i cant really weigh and count carbs in veggies, but am keeping it reasonable.

am enrolling in a gym tonght!

now, be a good admin/companion and correct me if u please.?

      thank u!

        Re: 140kgs

Correct is not a great term. You should find something that works for you. And if it is healthy and works well then it is all good. It looks like you are very good at eating veggies (Atkins says to have 3 cups) so that is great. I tink veggies with oil is a great choice.
Cheese is good but do not overdo it. just around 115 grams per day no more.

Olives make good snacks. Cheese too if you do not overdo it. I often use boiled eggs or veggies with a bit of dressing. Or left over meats.

Fried chicken is only good if there is no breading on it. you need to avoid all flour.

Check to see that the tuna has no carbs on it. In some version they add some carbs to ti and you should avoid that.

Crackers are not going to work.

And make sure you drink plenty of water. Sweetened drinks my be stallers for many. Keep sweetened stuff to a minimum (no more than three serving a day)

But it is looking pretty good.

            >> as for fried chicken. is KFC a good choice?>>

            No, it's not.

            >> i found an article where they claim they are atkins friendly.>>

            Can you post the link?

            >> how can i be sure?>>

Go to the KFC website and read the ingredients.

Then I think you'll want to find someplace else to eat.

Wow what an uncritical report that was. Sometimes I really dislike modern journalism. KFC is wrong. We avoid carbs abd they add gunk to their chicken. We do not eat gunk on this diet.

KFC did come out with an unbreaded grilled version of their chicken a couple of years ago but it is not sold worldwide. None of the kfcs where I live have one.
