  • The new fat girl- stealth femme

    Hello Everyone,

I believe Atkins may be my last shot at losing the 150 pounds I need to lose. My story is typical- I have been obese since I was a child (7 years old) and it was a steady climb to 307 pounds (i'm 30 now).

Like most fat-girl stories, my weight has been the focal point of my life. And there has been MUCH unhappiness, discrimination, depression, binge eating, and of course-- the biggest reason of all that I''m here.. I HAVE NEVER NEVER NEVER been in a serious relationship.

Its quite an insult to my feminine sensibility and a mockery of my dreams to have a man and a family- to be 30 years old and never loved!

I also can't wear heels. I have to baby-powder between the crevices of my rolls so they do't get raw. My knees and feet burn just to walk. My upper arms look like hams.

So, I have been fledgling with induntion for the past week, but its so hard, because sometimes I just want one bite- of cheesecake or ice cream.

But I'm determined and everything is out of the house! No sugar, carbs, flour is in the pantry. Now I just need help with some more yummi recipies because boredom with food options is the kiss of death for me!

I'm going to be on induction for a while too--- so please if anyone has yummi (but by the book) recipies or ideas about indcution let me know!

I'm ready to take my life back!

If you get bored with food choices, that's a sign that you need to move to OWL.

And no worries, you'll continue to lose weight in OWL as well. Some people even lose better when they add a few more nutritious vegetables to their menu.

Stealth, you have made some great points. If I were you I would copy this post and pin it somewhere. When you get discouraged that the weight isnt coming off, then reread it. At first it will confirm why you are doing this. Later, when you have fewer rolls, and dont need the powder, and are walking a couple of miles each day, you will be able to see just how much progress you have made. Welcome to ADBB and your new life.
