    Hey everyone, so thrilled to find this place! My partner and I have decided to start Atkins together and we're really excited! We started on 10 March and hope to be reach (or be super close) to our goals by August. I'm from the States, he's from England and we live in Scotland; We're headed to the States for two weeks in August and he'll be meeting my family for the first time, so he wants to look his best. I'll be attending a high school reunion then, as well- pretty excited to see the looks on the faces of the girls who used to make fun of me in school for being a fattie when I waltz in looking totally hot, with my equally hot English fiance on my arm. Not bad for a small-town Texas girl!

    Great to be here, can't wait to get to know y'all!

    Sounds like a good plan. I like it.
    So are you two ready for the hard work it takes to be hot?
    I think one step is to get the Atkins New Diet Revolution Book from 2002 and then get that work out gear going. Oh and vitamin pills and plenty of clean water.

      Welcome Lady Evil-- don't forget to exercise! That's a great way to get that hot bod. You should have some great challenging hiking trails up there in Scotland.

        Ooh yeah, I forgot to mention that! I've been going to Curves for a while, but I've cancelled my membership there because Adam has finally agreed to go to the gym on the condition that I go with him. We're joining next week and he actually seems pretty excited about it at the moment.

        And yes, we are more than ready for the hard work it takes to be hot, haha! We've got a ton of reasons to stay motivated- mainly that both of us have had recent wake-up calls involving our dads developing health issues from being overweight.

        Also, I'm curious to know if anyone else has started the plan with their significant other. If so, how'd it work out for ya? x

          Good for you guys, it seems like it would be a lot easier to do a diet like this when everyone in your household is on board. Get rid of all your bad carbs, pasta, rice, bread in the freezer, sugary stuff...

          Read DANDR (2002). It's the book we follow here, and it will help you on your journey.

            My Dh is on plan with me. He's lost about 30-35lbs so far, has probably 60 more to go to goal. It's easier because you don't have a SO tempting you to go off plan. As far as the kids go they still eat what they did before. I don't make them eat on plan.
