  • New to Atkins

Hey everyone, today is my first day on the atkins induction, i have never tried this before so i am quite excited but also nervous as to what to expect. I am glad to have found this site and would be grateful for any advice. I am 20 years old from the UK and am hoping to lose around 25 lbs.

Welcome Miss L. Word of warning-- you may have heard that people drop huge amounts of weight on Induction. If you are only looking to lose a small amount (for most of us 25 pounds qualifies as a small amount) you will probably see a more modest loss, but you will lose if you do a clean Induction. Watch out for days 2 and 3. Sometimes folks feel a little under the weather as they go through sugar detox but it will pass and you will likely feel better than ever by day 5.

Thanks Liv and thanks for the advice chinadoll. Yeh i guess that would make sense. I am trying to do a clean induction, although knowing there are cookies and other carb treats in the kitchen is tough. So far today i had 2 boiled eggs for breakfast. Cooked chicken strips and a red bell pepper for lunch and a piece of cheedar cheese as a snack. Going to have salmon with a salad tonight. Does this sound ok??

It does sound pretty good. Drink plenty of clean water to go with it. Make sure you get your 3 cups of veggies in. And that you have some oil, butter, or fat with your veggies and protein
