  • I hope this works :d

    ok so i started atkins a few weeks ago but only discovered this website the other day
    i went from 215.5 to 201 (currently) and hoping to keep going
    Has anyone got ways which keep them motivated? a few tips would be helpful!

    i just wanted to know how you get the weight loss tracker and quotes at the end of everyones posts??? thankyouuuu

    GW - 165.5 lbs
    16 years old 5"9
    Mini goal 1 = 209 DONE!

          You are so close to the 100's that should keep you motivated. Then once you hit them you never ever ever want to go back into the 200's so there's some new motivation. Set mini goals and it helps a lot.
          Atkins Start date: 01/18/2010--Now off plan for med reasons, still an Atkins lover!

            Motivation is the tough one. For me it comes and goes. I always seem to slack off just before or just after reaching a mini goal and then slip back a bit. One thing that helps me is to post often and make your weight loss process (not just the pounds) accountable to someone in addition to yourself. I find that keeping fitday and an online journal in journal chats here helps me. The others in journal chats check up on me, scold me, deliver pep talks when needed, etc.

              thankyou everyone!
              i have now set a load of mini goal, and am 2lbs away from the next one
              I m quite excited to be in 'onederland' as i've heard so many people call it, because it will be the first time in a couple of years
              I'm only 16 so wanting to wear all the new clothes and stuff helps keep me motivated too as i want to fit in with my friends

                You shouldn't be doing any of the weight loss phases of Atkins without the supervision of your pediatrician.

                I hope you're discussing what you're doing with your doctor and your parents ... since they control the buying of your food.
