  • Fed Up With Counting Calories!

Hi Atkins friends! Five years ago I lost over 50 lbs with a low calorie diet and hard exercise. I gained almost 30 lbs in three years and tried for a month to lose the extra weight as I did the last time. My body was used to my regular exercise routine of walking and jogging so losing weight was almost impossible and I didn't feel like killing myself with sprinting. I was also starving with a low calorie diet. What was so shocking was my huge craving for sweets. I couldn't last a week without gorging on something sweet. So I decided to try Atkins 10 days ago. So far I have lost 4 lbs which is a whole lot more than I lost with the low calorie diet and I don't crave sweets. I miss the taste but no more uncontrollable gorging a cheesecake. I have 18 lbs to go. Wish me luck.

Welcome fluffngo! Great progress so far. I find that I have to change up my exercise routine about once every three months and do something different--not necessarily harder. I change my weights routine, try different cardios, it seems to help the body from getting complacent.
