    Hi everyone! I just found this site day four into starting Atkins.

    My Thyroid Dr is worried my body has changed and is being carb resistant. So, I told him I can try anything for a month!

    That leads me here and finding a place to help support this change.

    I'm not going to lie.. I'm a sweet tooth girl and I'm Irish. I love anything starchy. But, I need my body back in shape after it gained a lot of weight when my thyroid went out of control.

    Thank you'll for your support in the threads I've already read. Thank you for welcoming me to this wonderful site.

    Let the weight drop off!
    Starting Weight 275
    1st mini goal 270

    2nd mini goal 260
    3rd mini goal 250
    4th mini goal 240 <- Here I am!

    5th mini goal 230
    6th mini goal 220
    7th mini goal 210
    8th mini goal 200
    9th mini goal 190
    And the final TEN lbs! 180
    (This is where my Dr wants me for my 6' ness.. I might try for less. We'll see!)

        Well, Atkins Essentials will get you through the first two weeks, and the FAQ section is very handy.

        Atkins for Life is for maintenance.

        The "Advantage" book is good.

        The book used here is DANDR though.
