    Hi everyone,
My turn to tell my story, anyhoo about a month ago I went to see my Dr. about smoking cessation(over 23 years) and weighed in at 219 lbs. I am 46 and not feeling good, somewhat bloated and dreaded the smoking cessation pep talk. Worse than any pep talk I was amazed that I had put on the pounds. With a heavy heart(double blow) I signed up for the patch and meds and went home. I was sure I was done smoking but the weight was really bothering me.
Cut to the chase I experimented with low carb made lots of mistakes and am on my second week of my second try at induction. I am now at 204. I am amazed at how energetic I have become and no longer have carb cravings. I used to love beer, peanuts, pasta & rice but now I also see the error of my ways! I have stopped smoking too!

      ThinSoon,
Thank you for the warm welcome and encouragement. I don't think I have felt this good since my early 20s. I was quite puffy all over, all of that is gone. I had backaches and inflamed shoulders as well. Even that inflammation is gone!

Water weight and bloating is the first to do. Overeating carbohydrates sure does a number on some of us. Congratulation on quitting smoking and starting a new you.
