  • Day 1 and scared

    I have done every diet known to mankind. I cannot seem to lose more than 10 pds without falling back into my old routine
    This is my last stop

    I started this morning with eggs, spinach and bacon and my stomach is twirling. I dont know if its nerves or grease?? LOL!

    I am so scared this will not work......

    Any menus of what worked for you would be the BIGGEST HELP IN THE WORLD!!!

    What worked for me or someone else might not work for you. Besides, you might not like the foods I ate.

    I would suggest you plan your own menus, using the Acceptable Foods List and the Rules of Induction. If you want to post a few menus, with quantities and net carbs for everything, we'll take a look.

    Are you reading the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution?

      Hi Hopeful. I think you will like this plan but get beyond the idea that fat is grease. Its what moves this plan and the word grease denotes something bad.
      Your first menu looked great and there is no reason that the WOE won't work for you. Keep positive. Hang in there, and find foods that you enjoy. If bacon doesn't work, try something else. Quiche? Egg Nog Shake? Flax muffin?

          hi! You don't have to eat eggs and bacon if you don't really like it. There's all kinds of alternatives. I eat a Broccoli Quiche from Linda's Low Carb for breakfast. It's about finding the foods that you like to eat and making them your new way of eating.

          Yes, this does work. Give it a clean induction eating right (post your menu for review, that helped me) and do the right things and trust me, it will work!

          Goal #1: 247 - 2nd 10% (59lbs, 247, also 100 lbs total loss) - Met 1/4/10!!!
          Goal #2: 241 - Halfway to goal! (106 lbs lost) - Met 2/21/10!!!

          Goal #3: 222 - 3rd 10% - Lowest Atkins weight
          Goal #4: 210 - Still on track!
          Goal #5: 200/199 - 4th 10% - One-derland! End year goal!
          Female/Hypothyroidism/Arthritis/Fibromyalgia - If I can lose weight on this, so can you!

                i used to eat cereal milk and a banana

                Here is my meal for the day

                Breakfast omelet, spinach with cheddar cheese

                Lunch salad with blue cheese and ranch dressing with cucumbers

                Dinner chicken breast with broccoli
