  • Second Time Is a Charm

    I'm starting TODAY on induction. Not next Monday or after the weekend, but TODAY.

    I've gained some weight, mostly mid section, hips and I'm miserable. Getting dressed this morning was it. Just felt bloated and I hate it.

    So, I've recommitted to induction and living (again) the low card lifestyle. Luckily, I've got a very supportive wife, who will join along on my path just to keep me company!

    Current weight is 225 @ 6'1". I'm will be working towards a goal weight of 175. I usually lose inches fairly quickly vs. weight. We'll see!

    Congratulations on making the decision to get back on plan! I hope you have the 2002 DANDR (Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution) - it's the edition we follow on this site. Exercise, take a no-iron vitamin and drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water. Check Linda's recipe site – wonderful recipes that will keep you from eating the same thing over and over --

      This time, do Induction, move to OWL (Ongoing Weight Loss) so you can learn how to maintain this lifestyle and your losses for a lifetime. Then there will be no need for a third time around.

        I love the diet, as for me, it's black or white in induction and I've got no cravings.

        My only 'mountain' is water intake. I've NEVER been a water drinker and yesterday, I managed 1.5 liters and today, I'm going for 3 liters (about 12 glasses).

        Couldn't help but check out the scale this morning and I'm down 2 pounds.
