    Hello All!

    So I am on day 4 and feeling great...really havent had any cravings! =)

    Just a quick question...today for lunch I had some hard salami (package says 0 carbs) and I spread a little cream cheese on each peice(says 2 carbs per 2 tablespoons, which is about what I had). Is this ok during induction??

    For breakfast I had an Adkins Advantage Shake (pretty tasty) which says its approved for all stages...and for dinner I plan on having some steak and garlic shrimp and probably a cup of broccolli/cauliflower mixed veggies.

    Products are not meant as meal replacements.

    Also, many of us recommend starving your sweet tooth at least during Induction.

    It's probably not zero carbs. The carbs on the label are just rounded... so it would be less than 0.5 g per serving.

    What were the ingredients?

    A cup of broccoli and cauliflower is not enough vegetables... and you should be spreading your vegetables throughout the day, not eat them all in one meal.

      Glad you are feeling good.

      So the rule is 3 cups of veggies. Every day. It is a good rule.

      I don't know about those shakes. They would stall me becasue they are so sweet. Real food is better. And that is not substantial enough a breakfast. Your lunch is a little bit too processed. Salami often has illegal ingredients. It has sugars (in the form of dextrose) and fillers and is super salty. Label may say zero but it very likely has about 0.4 carb (then the label can legally say zero)
      Supper sounds good. Don't forget fat. 65% of our daily calories should come from fat. And you are low on calories.
