Re: Hi.....new and nervous
Hi Nichola-anne
I am starting my 2nd time on Atkins this weekend - I am off to the supermarket armed with my low carb shopping list tomorrow and looking forward to getting back on the programme. Up to last September I had lost 37lbs on Atkins and felt on top of the world. Then my husbans, among others, started to say that it couldn't be good to be on a "diet" for that long and that I should try and eat "normally". Well that's what I did and now I am back to where I started, even though I haven't been eating badly.
I can't fit into the clothes I bought when I got to a UK size 12 and when we recently went to Thailand on holiday all our friends there commented on how much weight I had put on and I felt really bad. So now I am back with a vengance, knowing that if I stick to this way of eating I will feel and look great again in a relatively short time.
My advice to you is to stick to the induction but to use these boards to find interesting ways to cook the foods you are able to eat, that way you will be easily able to stick to it. I promise you that you won't feel hungry and you will find that, when you think about it, what you are actually eating is lean protein, salad and vegetables - no processed foods at all and so it is actually a very good way to eat. You don't have to have a fry up at every meal in order to find something to eat.
Good luck and don't give up!!
Sue
