I've considered bariatric surgery but I know Atkins works for me so I'm taking control of my life and responsibility for my overeating and saying no more.
I recently had a breakthrough in therapy and discovered something can matter if it only matters to me. Losing this weight matters to me and that is my mantra when my brain tells me I need something sweet. You know that my body no longer craves the sweet stuff since I've been on plan for a week now, so it must be my brain that has to be reeducated.
I have a long way to go but am determined not to subject myself to surgery that means I will have to change the way I eat. Instead I will change the way I eat and skip the surgery. I am a firm believer in making use of good support, so you will see me here often reading and maybe posting.
