  • Alright stop! Diet time

Well, so I had a baby 6 months ago, my first. Before I got pregnant I weighed about 127. When I found out I was pregnant, I started shoveling in the food. I mean, I was literally picking up the plate and dumping it in my mouth. I have continued this horrible eating pattern until today.

I have been breastfeeding, but she's onto solids and formula and isn't dependent solely on breast milk anymore, so I decided it was time to get serious. Everyone kept telling me that breastfeeding would help me get the weight off. This has not been the case with me. In fact, I have actually gained 7 pounds since my initial baby weight loss.

I am 33. 10 years ago when I was 23, I probably weighed as much as I do now, give or take 5-10 pounds. I started packing it on in my early 20s and hit my peak about 23. I did this diet back then, and lost back down to my goal weight. Granted, I had a little help from Metabolite (or Metabolife, can't remember which one it was, but at any rate you can't get them now), and it didn't take very long at all. Its been so long I really don't remember how long it took, I just remembered that it worked.

I can't carry this extra weight around any longer. I am short, 5'3" and I have a very small bone structure so 160 lbs is way too much for me to weigh. I can't wear any of my clothes, and its almost like I am still pregnant....towards the end, which we all know is miserable lol.

Sorry to be so long winded. I just wanted to say hey, and let yall know that looking at your before and after pictures have really inspired me. I'm not ready to post mine just yet. After just taking them, it has really put into perspective how bad I need to lose weight. I need to blow them up and hang them on my wall to look at everyday to keep me in the road

Not really want ketones in breastmilk and since we know so little about this Atkins suggest not doing induction while breastfeeding. Maybe you can cut down on starches and sugars a bit and do maintenance diet with 100 or so net carbs until you little one is weened.

        Re: Alright stop! Diet time

She's on solids and formula now, which is why I have waited until now to start a diet. I should have probably eaten better even before dieting, but I was using the breastfeeding as an excuse. I'm horrible like that.

That is actually the Atkins book I have so that works out great

Thanks for linking those challenges. I definitely need to exercise and I'm going to try to everyday when girlfriend is taking a nap.
