Hello everyone!
I have been reading these forums for about a week.. in that time I have ordered the book, read up to and including Chapter 11 (Induction) and have been slowly cutting out the "bad carbs" while cleaning out my pantry. I will be starting induction on Monday, after my 4 Easter dinners this weekend! (My boyfriend and I both have divorced parents.) I thought it would be easier that way.
I have done low carb in the past (heard of the Dr. Bernstein program?) and have been very successful. This plan, in my mind, seems easier, as I had to do more portion control (weighing out each piece of lean meat to exactly 3.5 oz, twice a day) with Dr. Bernstein. Not to mention it costs big money!
My downfall in the past was not easing into a maintenance program. I am hoping I am older and wiser now, and know that I can't fall back into bad habits.
Anyways, I appreciate everyones' questions in all of the sub forums, because they have been helping me alot
I plan on using this forum for motivation and encouragement, and follow any helpful tips. I am also noticing a trend in the maintainers urging the newcomers to start OWL after the 14 days. I think this is a good idea and will help with me sticking to the overall system
Sorry about the long into... I am known for my novels!
Ciao!
