I'm a mother of 5....3 mine, 2 his....all OURS! Most of my kids are out of the house. I have 2 still at home on a regular basis, and my daughter comes home when the notion strikes her, which is about 2ce a week...lol. I act in a community theater for a hobby...and, am currently trying to get into the senior care field.I lost about 25 pounds this summer when I was visiting my mother in Atlanta. Well, wouldn't you know, I came back home to my stressful life...and, gained it ALL back! I was eating between 400-900 calories a day this summer...so, I think that particular effort wasn't sustainable. I found myself weak alot of the time...but, I felt better with less weight on me. I got so many compliments..and, fit into a size 10. Now, I'm back up to a size 14, which in some cases is still snug.
I've known many people to lose weight using the Atkins approach to eating. I want to lose pretty rapidly (to stay motivated), still have energy, and not get too saggy. I just turned 50 this summer...so, saggy is important to me.
My sister, Bitsy, encouraged me to start Atkins...she has already dropped several pounds. She is a new member on this board, too. I look forward to doing Atkins together with her...and, everyone else here!
