Hi everyone, hope you are all well!
Today is my 2nd Day of the Atkins Induction. I'm 24 years of age, and since being married to my (skinnier
) other half, I have gained a lot of weight, and am now the heaviest I have ever been (15st 7lbs). My overall target/dream would be to get down to 12 stone.
I'm not 100% sure I'm doing the diet "correctly", as there are a lot of food groups and food add-ons that I don't know the Carbs count for. However, I am constantly Googling the answer and plan on buying a book to help me do the best I can.
I was wondering if anyone else has some personal experiences they would like to share about their 14 day induction: success stories, good tips, recipe suggestions, or how you felt during your induction/things to be aware of.
For me, I am only on day 2 and already suffering from a mild headache, which I put down to going cold turkey and cutting out caffeine/coffee. Although, I also felt quite queasy this morning ... and couldn't face eating another egg! I found sipping water helped stop the queasiness.
My only worry, is that through lack of variety I will not stick to the diet, so please help in anyway you can :
Today's Menu:
BREAKFAST: 2 boiled eggs champed in margarine (found out butter is best!)
LUNCH: 3 x Applewood cheese, raw spinach, cold meat ham roll overs
DINNER: 1 chicken breast roasted in vegetable oil, full fat mayonaise & 3 broccoli florets
I don't think I had my full 20 grams of carbs, did I/do you need to?
Does anyone have any quick and easy recipes they make for lunch to take to work?
I look forward to chatting more and sharing my up and down moments with you all.
Peace & love

jalapeno's as-well, think I'll be purchasing a few jars tomorrow. Fantastic idea to add some spice to things.
