Hello! I am a newbie hence the name!
I started Atkins on Monday and am loving it! It took almost three days to get over the headaches and cravings for sugar and caffine but after three days of coming home from work and going to bed straight away with a splitting headache they suddenly cleared and I got my energy back. I was surprised to see how addicted I was to the things that were making me bigger!
After 6 days I have lost 9lbs which is just amazing as I have tried low fat diets and lost only 1lb in 2 weeks!
I am getting married in June and thought the Atkins was the best way to get rid of all the weight I have been carrying around for the last 3 years since I left university, it seems to be working! Now I think that it won't just be for the coming weeks until the wedding but more a way of life for me. My cravings have vanished, my head is clearer, I have more energy and the weight is just dropping off! I no feel sluggish after eating or tired after my high carb lunches.
Anyway I am rabbiting on now, hi to everyone out there who is trying this for the first time! Bear with the first few days and it will all slot into place!
