  • Hi - Newbie from London, England

    Hi Everyone
Really excited to find this forum - I'm day 1 of induction today and I am really looking forward to this change in my life!

I'm 44 (just) and a mom of 2, a 7 year old boy and an 8 month baby girl. I'm wanting to lose the weight I put on during my pregnancy last year. It has taken me this long to start doing something about losing weight as my partner was diagnosed with cancer a week before I gave birth and since then we have been through a whirlwind of operations and chemotherapy. He is doing so well and we have a good chance he will be cured, so the levels of stress are just dipping slightly and I feel I can take more care of myself now.

We are planning on taking a summer trip, although we haven't decided our destination yet, we love East Coast USA and I would love to be feeling fit and looking healthy by August.

My first goal is to lose 28lbs and review my wardrobe!
    Great to meet you all

All the best with losing the weight for the holidays. It can be done as I lost 100lbs in nearly a year on the plan after having my 3rd boy.

Re: Hi - Newbie from London, England

Thanks for your messages - it is so nice not to be alone doing this, my first day has been great and although I have a slight headache now I'm tired as it is nearly 10:30pm and I've been up since 7am with my baby and it has been a busy day. I haven't had any sugar cravings which has surprised me a bit and I'm just finishing up my day's water before bed. I'm also writing a journal for myself so I can track my thoughts and feelings and what I've eaten. I'm looking forward to watching my baby "pod" disappear in front of my eyes
