  • Here I Go Again!!!

Hi there!!! I did Atkins for the first time January 2002. I have done it off and on since then. I started again today.
I have a horrendous back, and the extra weight I am carrying doesn't help. Ideally I need to lose 100 pounds.
My problem is I always get burned out! I'm hoping now that there are so many more options out there today, that it will help me stay on track. I really love this way of eating. My weight loss is also quick as well (I am very instant gratification ).
I wish you all the best of luck!!!

I would say it's all the protein... I get to the point where meat with mayo, or steak, or chicken is just like "ugggg". I start to miss bread. I did, though, make the oopsie rolls today and they're pretty good! It definitely helps when I want a sandwich with "bread".
I have a lot to lose, so I tend to just stay on induction.

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated! Thanks!!!

Atkins isn't "all the protein". You should only be eating moderate amounts of protein, about 20-30% of your calories.

The focus of Atkins is the vegetables.

That's not how Atkins works though. It's probably a reason you keep falling off.

Moving to OWL would give you more food choices, and it's where you should lose your weight (thus the name of the phase!) It's also how you learn what foods your body does well with.

I would certainly reread your copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002).

Hopefully this time you can make it the last time you start!
