  • Day 2 of Induction

    Hi All

Well, I guess we all start the same - feeling uncomfortable in our clothes and loathing summer when we actually have less to conceal ourselves with. I got on the scale last week for the very first time in over a year and was utterly shocked to see how much I weighed. I hadn't realised how much I'd put on! Obviously the clothes were not so comfy and I don't feel like I look good in anything and to my shock and horror, I've gone from weighing 60kg (prior to the birth of my son 5 years ago) to a staggering 80kg!! I feel lethargic and tired and I want to feel good again.

I keep thinking that 20kg is a huge goal but I've got the book, I'm ready and I'm motivated to give this a go! My partner is a gym fanatic and he recently dropped 1 stone on another diet but he is travelling for the next 2 weeks in India so I've decided to start the Atkins Induction while he's gone in the hope there is a slight noticible improvement to surprise him when he returns. Obviously it will take much longer to reach my goal but I'm dedicated.

Day 2 and the only thing I am missing badly is my first morning cup of tea with a dash of milk but I've just had a cup of peppermint tea and it's ok.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone.
