  • I think this helps ADD...

    So, I've been on this diet for two weeks now and I'm thinking that it has really improved my ADD symptoms. Two weeks without those nasty little carbs seems to have organized my thoughts almost instantly. I've not taken medication for ADD for nearly a year now and this seems to be a great, healthy alternative. Meds did have one good benefit -it curbed your appetitie, but when I got off it I blew up like a balloon. My biggest challenge and I'm only in it two weeks has been my sweet tooth - but thank goodness for sugar free jello and redi-whip! Anyone else out there have ADD and noticed a difference? How about any good sweets ideas? Thanks and good luck to all on your journey!

    Sugar-free jello contains aspartame and is not reccomended by the good Dr.

    Redi Whip?

    grade A cream, grade A nonfat milk, sucrose, corn syrup, whey, mono- and diglycerides, natural and art. flavors, carraggenan.
    Serving size=2 tbsp
    calories=20
    cal from fat=15
    Total Carb=less than 1 gram
    Sugar less than 1 gram

    YUCK. No corn syrup or sugars allowed. Too processed.

      well...it works for me and it's not like I'm inventing the jello diet here. My husband ate it during his diet too and lost wieght as well. Maybe full of yucks but satisfies the sweet tooth. Thanks for your thoughts anyway.

        No problem. I found aspartame stalled my weight loss, but not everyone has the same experience. There is the option of using "Whipping Cream" or Heavy cream from the grocery and adding some Splenda to it. That's legal on induction. 2-3 TBSP of heavy cream and up to 3 servings of sweetener are "legal" on induction.

          Redi whip is just junk and not allowed. We try to eat real whole foods with good nutrients.

            COngrats on finding something that actually helps your ADD that doesn't come in a pill bottle.

            what they are saying is make your own home made whipped cream with real cream and some of your allowed sweetner if you are going to eat whipped cream and jello. Land-o-lakes make sa splenda sweetened one in a can if you can find it in your area.
