I am new to the board and new to Atkins and I am very determined to make this work for life. I have bought and read The New Diet Revolution (through the induction chapter) and I am ready to get started tomorrow!
I spent the last two years 'yo-yoing' on weight watchers and I need to make this change - and I AM READY!
I have gained 60 lbs over the past few years (alas, I was 148 lbs this time 3 years ago- and very active) and have become very tired and energyless. After reading the first part of the book, I am certain I suffer from hyperinsulinism and I am ready to break the cycle!
I am spending today preparing myself and I am getting ready to go to the grocery store to get some odds and ends stuff that I need that I did not keep on hand with WW (butter, cream, full fat cheese). I already have all of the suggested vitamins and psyllium powder for fiber.
Any words of wisdom as I embark on this journey? I am excited to hear from all of you!!

Welcome to ADBB

After WW I think you will really enjoy things like the butter, full fat cheese and cream again. You have some good advice from other posters already. My suggestion would be to do a clean Induction and get used to eating veggies throughout the day (even breakfast!).
