  • Hello again! NYC

    Hi everyone, after sometime off I am back on Atkins diet. I realized when I was back on carbs, and starch I get into depression, lazy and not focus. I hope there are any support in New York City, or e-mail friends for support. Thanks so much.

    I would agree, the bad carbs really do a number on the body and mind!

      I am in NYC as well so if you need support, please feel free to reach out. I can totally relate to being depressed when I was eating tons of carbs and sugar. I would cry for no reason at all, just want to lay in bed all day. Only get out to go to work and just come back home and lay down. Trust me I know exactly how you felt.

      I am soooo glad I found this board because I feel like a totally new person now and I am on day 9 of induction and once you get past the first week, its not hard at all. I feel great, not depressed anymore and now I miss my bed cause I am hardly in it now LOL

      Good luck on your journey and remember support is right next to you if you need it.
      Tired of being the cute chubby woman. I want to drop that name "chubby".

          Welcome back -- re-read the book so you have the information fresh in your mind. Make sure you're eating a variety of food, don't eat the same thing over and over there are too many options to do that. Drink plenty of pure water (64oz daily minimum), exercise and take a vitamin with no iron.
