    Hi All

    I'm Claire the name BotBot comes from my BF its my petname lol! Yes he's strange!

    Well anyway I've done the Atkins before about 8 year ago when I was 20 and I lost a stone in 1 monthhowever I did suffer headaches and bad bowel movement! This time round I have read through alot of this forum stuff and I'm taking the right vits and also eating a bit of salad this time!

    I'm looking to loose about a stone! All the photos of you guys on here are a great insentive!

    So that's me feel free to comment!

          Welcome aboard. Make sure you read/reread the book. Veggies (salads) are an important part in the process.

          Good luck to you in your journey. You're only a stone throw away!

          (I need to google exactly what a "stone" is )
          Mini goals:

            It is good to meet another Brit on ADBB!!

            Make sure you check the list of allowed foods as we are allowed more than 'a bit of salad'!! Apart from the nutrients in the 54 vegetables on the allowed list the fibre in them might help against any BM problems

              I echo what Elizellen said..its good to see a fellow Brit..and we definitely can eat more than a bit of salad!

              I admit I didn't weigh my salad and veggies in the first two weeks I know I only had about half the salad veggies I'm allowed and about triple the veggie veggies I'm allowed ( Cauliflower, cabbage, sprouts), so I wasn't really following the plan.( I had no weight loss in week 2 and this could have been the reason)

              I now use fitday to record my food intake, I play about with the us cup measurements to find out what the equivalent volume/weight/calorific value of food would be in oz and grams. I'm now eating substantially more salads(we're allowed to 2 cups daily) and less veggies (1 cup daily).
