        Hi there Dewi,
Welcome. This is a great place to come and get advice, counsel, tips, encouragement, a shoulder to cry on, whatever you need.
Congrates on the 1lb loss. I know it doesn't sound like much, but the next time you are in the store, pick up one pound of meat, or anything that weighs 1lb and reflect on it. When you can hold it in your hand and feel the weight, it makes an impression.
One pound at a time (or more). That's how it's done. Keep up the good work.

Welcome -- hopefully you have a copy of the 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) - it's our guideline here on the board. If you don't have a copy you really should get one and read it so you know the science behind the plan and how to follow it correctly.

Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/. Your weight loss may be more or less than others so don't worry about how much someone else lost, follow the plan the way it's written and you'll have the best results for your body.

Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)(What foods can be eaten on Induction?)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html, eating a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs).

Good luck to you! If you have questions don't hesitate to ask them. We have a journal area here also in case you'd like to start one, it's a great way to get things down and meet people.
          Carole
