Hi everyone,
I just started yesterday and have more than 50 pounds to lose. I'm so full from lunch that I might explode! I'm 60 years old, married with two adult children and three grandsons. I had been doing Weight Watchers but started to gain weight again. I had these horrible cravings that wouldn't go away. I knew something had to be done. I researched different diet programs and liked what Atkins Diet said and how I could lose weight. I went to a bookstore and bought the New Atkins for a New You and the carb counter. I spent the last week reading and getting to understand the program. So, I weighed in at 184 yesterday and this morning was 182. I know it's just water weight, but it's a start and very encouraging!

Welcome to ADBB! Just to let you know, on ADBB we go by Dr. Atkins last book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 ed (DANDR 2002) and so advice/suggestions you may get on ADBB are based on that. There are differences in the new Atkins 2010 book (the OWL ladder is different, adding sodium is encouraged, etc.).
