  • New to the board!

Hey all! I just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Emily and I'm new to Atkins - it's really my last hope to get back my old life and self. I have pretty low self esteem right now about my body, but I have read so many great success stories and am so hopeful! Feel free to introduce yourselves to me or share stores - I love to meet new people

      Welcome to the Board..
I lost 10 lbs on induction and was amazed.. There are alot of very helpful people here. Take advantage and ask the questions you cant figure out in the book.. I have read several chapters more than once and still struggle deciphering some of it..

        Re: New to the board!

        Welcome!

Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/. Your weight loss may be more or less than others so follow the plan the way it's written and you'll have the best results for your body.

The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board - if you don't have a copy you really should get one and read it so you know the science behind the plan and how to follow it correctly. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html, eating a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs).

Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. If you need anything we try to help each other here as much as possible.
