  • New start for me!

    Hi people,

Well im here again to try and get back on track with my weight its so depressing, but im feeling positive this time round so i plan to loose lots (Hopefully). I have been invited to Cyprus in sept so wanna loose as much as i can between now and then before the dreaded bikini comes out lol.

Im on day 4 havent been too bad did feel abit light headed yesterday but think i needed to drink abit more fluid, but was ok.

Do get abit stuck for ideas sometimes for snacks but ill have a good nose at some of the posts see if i can pinch some .

So are any of you training hard aswell as doing induction i havent gone to the gym as such just walking with my little man but im planning on going back to gym next week for abit of cardio if i have the energy lol.

Give me a shout if anyones wants a chat / general chin wag

    Take care and good luck

    welcome Claire.
Cypros sounds like plenty of motivation. Sounds like you had induction flu. It passes quickly as you enter fat burning

I think it is good to get active form the start but start at your own fitness level. For some walking is a great start. That is where I began too

      Welcome!

Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --
http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/. Your weight loss may be more or less than others so don't worry about how much someone else lost, follow the plan the way it's written and you'll have the best results for your body.

Drink a minimum 1.89 litre (64 ounces) of pure water daily – more is better but at least the minimum. Take a vitamin w/o iron daily and exercise. Check the challenge area for the new challenges starting today -- there's something for just about everyone there.

The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board - if you don't have a copy you really should get one and read it so you know the science behind the plan and how to follow it correctly. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html - eating a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs).

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.
      Carole

Also make sure you are eating enough food and enough vegetables... and spread your vegetables throughout the day. Feeling lightheaded can be a symptom of hypoglycemia.

Anything from the Acceptable Foods List can be a snack. It can be a salad (with some added fat and/or protein), celery sticks with cream cheese, leftovers, a boiled egg...
