Hi all,
So I'm not obese but I'm overweight and would really like to lose 15 or so lbs before August (30th birthday).
I did Atkins right after college and I lost 40+ lbs. When I started cheating too often and was close enough to my goal weight I gave it up, mostly successfully, some weight crept slowly up over the years, though I did lose 10 in the past year from normal "calorie consciousness and exercise".
I spent a lot of time of this forum today, and I know that most questions are answered if I just keep searching. Right now my most pressing issue is- Coffee/caffeine. The first time around (7 years ago) I ignored that rule, I just couldn't take it in addition to everything else. I lost the weight, so now I am hoping that if I have a couple cups of coffee in the morning, I can repeat that result. (I will give up lunch time Coke Zeros). I know this is not recommended, but can anyone be brave enough to verify that they "cheat" the caffeine thing and still lose weight? (Private message me if you don't want to go public with that, I won't out you!)
The other thing is I can't seem to find the answer to is, is there a carb minimum that must be met during induction? I did look at induction FAQ and rules and didn't see this, but I feel like in context people are suggesting that.
I'm day 2 induction and today from the boards I realized I messed up Day 1 by having 1 serving of nuts as a snack. (oops) and that at lunch today my ball of Burratta cheese was going over the induction cheese limit. I had forgotten these rules. Should I add 2 days to induction or are those slips up minor enough?
Thanks a lot. This site is great!!!
