  • Hola !!! I am new !! =)

    Hi Everyone !!
    My Mom has done Atkins several times and has lost a lot of weight each time but went back into the rut of eating what she wanted when she wanted.
    Now Me, I just had a baby 4 months and want to live a healthy non overweight life for not only myself but for my family.

    I would love to meet new ppl to help me through this process.

      Welcome Heather.
      Congrats with your baby. If you are breastfeeding it is better to wait with the ATkins weightloss phase.

          I hope you realize this is a way of eating for life, not a "diet". As Liv said above if you are breastfeeding please wait until you are finished to start induction.

          Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --
          http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/. Your weight loss may be more or less than others so don't worry about how much someone else lost, follow the plan the way it's written and you'll have the best results for your body.

          Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily – more is better but at least 64 ounces. Take a vitamin w/o iron daily and exercise.

          The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board - if you don't have a copy you really should get one and read it so you know the science behind the plan and how to follow it correctly. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list
