  • *New To Atkins* My Atkins Weight Loss Journey*

Hiya everyone, I am new to the whole new Atkins Way of Eating. But it is working miraculous results for me and i am ever so grateful to stumble upon this website . I have been secretly looking and favouriting this website. But then i decided i have to make a commitment to Atkins way of life and registered as a member.

I am currently on a two week induction started on 2 May 2010 and i am hoping to do extended induction. As of now i am on my 10th day and i have lost 4.5KG. I am so happy that Atkins is working for me right now, before when i was on a low calorie diet, i always went to bed hungry, but now i go to bed satisfied and the perk is waking up with a weight loss.

    Height: 5 ft
    Weight Before : 92.5KG/203.5pounds/14.53stones
Weight Now:82.5KG/181.5pounds/12.96stones (10th day of induction lost 4.5kg woohoo)

But now i am having my TOM (sorry TMI) so i am not weighing myself probably until the end of the Induction or maybe after my period ends.

heheheh, such a long introduction * waves to everyone*

Welcome to Atkins!! This is a great place to be and a great way to eat.

Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/. Your weight loss may be more or less than others so don't worry about how much someone else lost, follow the plan the way it's written and you'll have the best results for your body.

Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily – more is better but at least 64 ounces. Take a vitamin w/o iron daily and exercise.

The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board - if you don't have a copy you really should get one and read it so you know the science behind the plan and how to follow it correctly. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html - eating a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs).

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.
        Carole
