  • Day One!!!!

    Hi everyone!
It's day one for me and my diet! I still havent weighed in yet this morning, kinda scared too, haha. I'm thinking it will be between 240-250. I am pretty tall (5' so my goal is somewhere around 145. I look forward to the encouragement and sharing this journey. Good luck to all.

      Re: Day One!!!!

      Welcome!

Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over --
http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/. Your weight loss may be more or less than others so don't worry about how much someone else lost, follow the plan the way it's written and you'll have the best results for your body.

Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily – more is better but at least 64 ounces. Take a vitamin w/o iron daily and exercise. Weight yourself day one and take your measurements so you'll know where you are starting from.

The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board - if you don't have a copy you really should get one and read it so you know the science behind the plan and how to follow it correctly. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html - eating a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs).

If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.
