  • Would appreciate some advice!

    Hi everyone,
I'm new to Atkins, just started today. I'm very paranoid because I have tried every possible way to lose weight. I'm just wondering if what I ate today sounds right? I get up late because I work nights, I had a mushroom omelette for breakfast/lunch with a small salad, 2 slices of cheddar cheese as a snack and for dinner I had a steak and a few grilled vegetables (peppers, mushrooms, broccoli) Does this sound ok for my first day? I am really desperate to lose weight.
    I'm 5ft 7 in and 12.5 stone or 79.5 kilos.

    Thanks
    Fiona

It does sound pretty good. I would try to get in three meals so that it is not too far between meals.
    What did you drink?

Welcome to ADBB. Glad to have you here.

Hi thanks for replying! You look amazing by the way! I drank mainly water and had 2 diet cokes as well. One at dinner and one after. But I drink a lot of water every day because it's so hot here. I tend to get up late because of work, so I had the first meal about 2, the snack about 5 and dinner at 8. Is this ok or should I have another snack? I will definitely try to fit in 3 meals if I can.

Try not to go more than 6 hours inbetween meals/snacks.

Try to drink atleasy 100 oz of water a day

Try to ween yourself off those diet cokes....aspartame can stall weight loss. It does me.

If you don't have the book pick it up and read it. You will have more questions when you are done, and that's ok.

Try to use fitday.com to log your food.

        Don't undereat.

        Take your supplements.

        Best Wishes
