    Hey guys, its me again! I posted last week in the main forum and someone suggested that I introduce myself here as well.

    Okay, my name is Amanda, I am 25 years old, 5'6, started Atkins on April 17th, 2005 and, my SW was 266, my current weight 255, my goal weight is 145...but I will be happy with 155.

    Anyway, this coming Sunday--->May 1st will be my last day for induction. I do have a question though...when is the best time to weight..in the am or pm? My weight in the am is 253.5 and my pm weight is 255.5. So, I am not sure which one to go by. One of the reasons I ask is because my church ladies and I have started a Christian Weight Loss Challenge and we weigh in the evenings. So, for that, I am going by my evening weight. If the am weight is the best, then woo hoo :icondance ...I have lost 12.5 pounds.

    I have stuggled with my weight since I was in 4th grade and I am ready to find that skinny person in me, cause I know she is in there...lol! Last year I almost made the biggest mistake of my life..I almost had Gastric Bypass Surgery, but changed my mind the night before my operation. I kept asking God for some guidance with this issue and I was walking around my house (outside) praying, and then all of the sudden it became so clear to me that I could do this without having to eat like a bird. It took me until April of this year to finally start the new way of eating but I am here now for the long haul!

    So, again, thanks to you all for soooo much inspiration and advice. You are my new family in a sence!

    Hi Amanda glad you are here
    i think the best time to weight and all will agree is in the am after you use the bathroom and about 15 minutes after you've been up that is when it is the most accurate weight.
    set some mini goals and before you know it you will be hitting each and every goal til you hit the main one. congrats on starting atkins nad on finding this posotive board, good luck and god bless

        Welcome to the board, Amanda!

        You've found a great source for support and motivation.

        I always weight in the morning after my shower before I get dressed for work. That seems to be the most consistently accurate for me.
