Hey guys,
I have been looking at this site for awhile now and have decided it is time to start doing atkins the right way. In other words for the last 25 days I have been doing my own version of Atkins because I was too afraid of fat to add the butter, the mayo, the egg yolks, etc. I was eating only lean proteins and too many dark green veggies. I managed to lose 22lbs, but feel that if I want to eventually adopt this WOE I need to do it the right way. Before my "induction" I managed to lose 45lbs on my own, bringing my grand total to 67lbs...I would still like to lose another 50lbs. I am still trying to conquer my mental battle with adopting a way of life where you eat lots of fat...but I am definitely willing to give it a fair shot. I am going to actually read the book this time, because previously I just skimmed the book. I would love your support as I conquer my mental demons...I just want to say that each and every thread I have read has been an inspiration to me and I just hope one day I can provide just as much encouragement to someone else!
P.S Any suggestions on how you guys got over indulging in a way of eating that allows you to eat lots of fat (even if it the healthier fat)?
